“With a vivid attention to nuanced detail and exceptional performances rooted more in reality vs. characters that feel
fictionalized, writer/director Nashwa Zaman brings audiences into a strained father-daughter relationship that demands for
a strong character and voice to emerge from the familial situation.
‘Champ’ lets audiences know that there are no easy solutions and endings when it comes to your family, and that it’s good to
be more than OK with accepting and choosing to deal with that.” - Detroit Shetown Film Festival
